I'm always on the hunt for the perfect cleansing toner, its something that's a staple piece in my skincare routine. This Nivea toner was popped into my shopping basket after an extensive time in Boots. It was a 'oh crap, I came in here for a toner.. I'll just take this one' type of moment, so I didn't really look in to the ingredients too much. I just seen that it was organic and suitable for my skin type (plus it was only £3.65)
The good points:
- The ingredients used in this toner are from organic origins, so no Parabens! For example the Aloe Vera is a great addition to this product as this can to balance your skins PH, can soothe and can soften the skin.
- Often find that some toners can leave your skin a little tingly or stingy? This doesn't, at all. Which I guess is again due to the Aloe Vera.
- Another great point about this toner is that its very light and has a fresh scent, so doesn't irritate my skin at all.
The bad points:
- Ahhh the packaging. This is the one thing about this product that really lets it down in my opinion. The actual way in which it looks is good - it looks simple and lets you read what the product does easily. However the design, oh dear. As you might be able to see from the picture above, there is quite a lot of the liquid gone for only using it over a week. This is simply because when I tip the bottle to use it, half of it ends up on my floor. Not good. To get to the point - bad design and to much wastage.
- Secondly, although this is a nice toner I don't see and added benefits to my skin. I just doesn't really do anything. This might just be for me, but I don't find my skin looking healthier or brighter or anything really.
For the price of this product, it is good for keep your skin fresh as it is very light. However I don't think I'll be repurchasing again due to the fact that it just doesn't tick all my boxes.
So having said that, I'm still on the hunt for my staple toner! If any of you reading have any recommendations please let me know in the comments of tweet me.
Sincerely, Nicole
