Birthday Haul

 Earrings; Oasis - Necklace; H&M - Bracelet;Accessorize

I wouldn't normally do a post like this, but for my 17th birthday I did receive some really nice items and I thought I'd share with you guys!
This is in no way bragging or showing off, I am really grateful for all gifts that I receive from my family and friends. Hopefully this can give you some help if you are struggling for a birthday gift for someone, or maybe just tempt you into buying a little gift for yourself ;)!

Absolutely love this white sheer shirt, however I think I'll have to take it back because the collar just doesn't sit right on me. Its a shame because it is so beautiful, so I'm definitely on the look out for one similar - let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations :) I thought I'd still include as I did still receive it as a gift and also it might appeal to some of you! (p.s. I'm still keeping the necklace as it is so beaaaauutifulll!!)

Believe it or not, this little bracelet was in the Accessorize sale for like £2/3 which I think is a bargain for this as it is so pretty and flattering. I had my eye on this for a while, so was super happy when my gran gave me it is a present - I must have dropped enough hints haha.

So, I didn't know whether to include these items or not... because you know, its underwear. However I thought they were to sweet not to include, these are again from Accessorize (they do the best lingerie)

These next few pictures are all gifts that I received from my two friends. They clearly know me well! Not entirely sure where the cute basket is from, I'm sure it can be picked up anywhere. I really thought this was a good idea for a birthday gift, something a bit different and all things that I will definitely use. Cant wait to pamper myself.

Aussie miracle conditioner - Simple face wash - Nail polish remover pads - Soap and Glory body buff - Body shop shower gel - body shop soap

Just a quick note, the body shop shower gel and soap is in the scent pink grapefruit and smells absolutely amazing. I cant even put into words how nice it is! If you are a great lover of fruity (and a little bit zingy) scents I really would recommend you go into the Body Shop to smell these. You don't even need to buy it haha, just smell it!

Lastly, a few makeup items. I received the MUA nail polish in the colour Koala Bear (cute name alert), the shade isn't really shown to its best in the picture above but its a greyish almost purple colour. When applied I think it is really lovely however only downside is it needs quite a lot of coats, 3 to be exact. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo is in the colour permanent taupe and is basically a matte taupe, I love these cream eye shadows and this one is a nice little add to my collection! Lastly, I received the infamous Lush bubble-gum lip scrub, already have one of these but I cant go wrong with another one :)!

I really hoped you liked this post. Again i just want to add that I am not showing off, I just thought it be a nice change and a little inspiration if you're buying someone a gift!

Sincerely, Nicole

Emma Watson | Golden Globe Awards makeup

Emma Watson | Golden Globe Awards makeup

Okay, so firstly can we please admire how gorgeous and just damn right glamorous Emma Watson looked at the GGA? Her outfit was by far my favourite as it was nothing I'd ever seen before... Dress and trousers, never before would I have thought that combo would have worked. But my my it did.

I was not only drooling (sorry for the tmi!) over Emma's outfit combo, but also her sleek hair and makeup. She kept her makeup very fresh and clean looking, with a pretty pinky lip. If I was to recreate this makeup, Nars Sheer Matte Foundation would be at the top of list for foundation. From the pictures I have seen, Emma didn't go for a dewy finish, her skin was kept matte which have prevented any shine in pictures. Again Emma kept a fresh finish by using a pretty coral blush with no contour or bronzer, for this I have choose the cult classic Nars Orgasm Blush. I'm not entirely sure what was worn on Emma's eyelids, but she did keep it very minimal. I do think she was wearing some false lashes to give her some voluminise length. When recreating this look, I'd go for the Covergirl Flamed Out Masacra to really make my lashes stand out and I'd also pop a little bit of shimmer in the inner corners to make the look pop! For brows, Emma went all out to make them bold so I'd use the Anastasia Brow Duo to define them. Lastly, for the lips I'd opt for Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer lipstick for the perfect pink-almost red lip.

Did you watch the Golden Globe Awards this year? If so, what celebrity were you giving around of applause to for looking so incredible?

Let me know if you guys like these kind of posts, or if you have any other blog suggestions let me know aswell.

sincerely, Nicole

Elemis Trio

Recently I have discovered Elemis Freshskin range, a range that is targeted for younger skin to make it appear brighter and more healthy looking. The products from the range really intrigued me as I am prone to the odd acne breakout and can often lack the look of radiant skin, so I was really eager to get my hands on some of their products. As you can see from the picture above, I opted for a mini trio set which I felt if I liked I'd go on to buy the larger sizes.

Skin Glow, Exfoliating Skin Wash:   After washing my face normally, I use this as my daily exfoliating wash. I take a pea sized amount and massage it (not to harshly but quite fast) in to my skin and once done I clean it off with warm water. It contains both cherry powder and jojoba beads which helps make the skin look fresh and radiant. Although I do like this wash, I don't think I'd purchase a bigger size because the size of the beads and how few their are. However this is just my preference and I still can not deny that this gives my skin a deep clean. Plus it smells likes cherries, so that's pretty good too.

Skin Clear, Purifying Face Wash: You may be able to tell from the picture above that I have used quite a lot of this wash compared to the first exfoliating one. Well that's simply because I love it. This was contains antiseptic properties which helps any damaged tissue in my skin. Again I take a pea sized amount and massage it in, then wash off with warm water. The wash itself comes out in a clear gel, but when blended in to the skin it turns in to a creamy lather. Unlike the first one, there isn't much off a strong scent to it, it just smells really fresh and pure. Not much else I can say except from I'll definitely be purchasing a larger size!

Skin Clear, Mattifying Moisturiser: Another love of mine. This moisturiser claims to mattify any oils in the T zone area and says to be a perfect base for makeup application. I'm not 100% sure if it cancels out any shine, but that's only because I don't really have oily skin! However I do agree that it creates a nice base for makeup, as it contains Shea Butter. The thing that I really love about it is the consistency and how it feels on my skin. Plain and simple really, but that's a real pet peeve of mine..I cant stand moisturisers that take forever to sink in and feel greasy to touch. This one is perfect because its just the right formulation that makes my skin feel hydrated and nice to touch.
