Review | Sleek Brow Kit

Okay, so not that long ago I preformed the worst thing a girl could do; I over plucked my eyebrows!!! I really do think that thin lines that looked like they have been drawn on a girls face with a Sharpie do nothing for a girls face a girls face, so I was pretty desperate to let my eyebrows grow back in.

Finally though, my brows are back and just in time as the 'power brow' has been a bit of a huge trend since it was spotted on Cara Delevingne. Defined eyebrows do wonders to frame your face, so I had to choose the right product in order to do that for myself. After trying out quite a few eyebrow pencils and powders I finally found a product that I really liked - the Sleek Brow Kit.

One of the things that I really love about the product is the packaging. For it being so small, it's actually incredibly sturdy so there is no chance of it breaking any time soon. Not only that, because of the size and it being compact its perfect to pop in your handbag for when you're on the go!

The kit comes with a brow wax and brow powder, mini tweezers, an angled applicator, powder applicator and quite a reasonable sized mirror. Although the applicators are smaller than normal, I actually find them quite easy to work with and think they are the perfect size to do the job well! The kits are available in four shades; light, dark, extra dark and black. I picked up the light shade only because it was the only one that was available to me that day, but I wish I had gotten the dark as it would have been more suited to my brow colour.

To apply, I use the tweezers first to pluck out any stray hairs. Then, using the angled applicator I use the light brown wax to define the shape of my brow. I'd say the wax has a medium pigmentation, which in a way is good as you don't want a heavy colour in one swipe. Following the wax, I use the powder using the powder applicator to fill out any gaps in the brow and set the wax that I have just applied. The shade of the powder really compliments the wax well and gives a good finish to the look of the brow.

Sleek Brow Kit comes in at £8.50 and can be found in most drugstores or on their website.
