TiGi Bed Head Resurrection Review

I'm not normally one to chat about hair care; I normally just buy whatever is on offer at Boots or Superdrug because a shampoo is a shampoo to me, as long as it does the job in cleaning my hair that's all that matters. But recently my mum and I have been using the TiGi Bed Head resurrection shampoo and conditioner to try out. We have tried the reenergize combo before and that was amazing so we opted to try another duo from the range.

On the bottle it says, "Perfect for: weak, brittle hair that needs an intervention". I wouldn't say my hair is damaged, but I do use heat on it regularly so for me this combo does work in giving my hair the moisture it needs. However I do have rather fine hair so at times when I'm using this I find its to moisturising to the point where my hair gets a little greasy quite quickly. On the other hand my mums hair is a little more damaged than mine (sorry mum) as its quite dry and brittle from years of heat and hair dye. From her point of view the duo does wonders for her hair, again it gives her the hydration her hair needs and leaves it noticeably softer and silkier. I think it works better for hair because it obviously is more damaged than mine, but also her hair is so much thicker so I feel like it can handle the moisture better. Another note to add is the scent. I really like the smell of the shampoo; its rather fresh and its not over powering at all, however the conditioner to me is the complete opposite. The reviews I've read say its a fruity scent but I don't get that all from the conditioner, its a really artificial scent that I cant quite pin point.

I think its interesting to see how two different hair types have reacted to the hair duo and hopefully a useful insight if you were wanting to try anything from the TiGi range! Let me know if you do.

Have you tried anything from the TiGi Bed Head? Any products you would recommend?

Small Talk With Your Hairdresser

So I was having my hair done the other day, and as I was sitting in the chair I felt myself preparing (in a weird sort of way) of the awkward small talk I was about endure for the next 40 minutes. And as I sat there (mentally preparing myself) I realised the following; small talk with a stranger is really freakin' difficult to me.

Now, I'm not entirely sure if this 'topic' is really blog worthy and if its just me that has this problem, but I would be interested to hear your opinions on it, if you have any. How do you avoid that awkwardness? And if its unavoidable, how on earth do you endure it? Because what I realised was (us Brit's in particular) love to bloody talk about the weather, its like our fault prove weapon that can fill those silent gaps for around, oh I don't know, 2 minutes... max. We start talking about that wrong kind of rain, you know the rain that really soaks you but its not heavy? Smirry rain I think is the word. I swear its a fine art that the Brit's have well and truly mastered. Once the weather talk is finished, its back to twiddling my thumbs thinking of the next thing to say.

Now I know your hairdresser is not your therapist, so there is no need for you to spill your life stories and explain why you just hate that one neighbour for no entire reason. But for reasons that I just cant quite explain, I  really don't like to just sit there with that god awful silence. I have this urge inside me to say something. Saying what is the tricky thing though.

In all honesty, this blog post doesn't have a point to end on haha. I guess it would be fun to use the comment section of this post to share any tips? Or share any awkward moments you've had?

If I am to make any point in this post, its the following; if you suck at small talk and cant bare an awkward silence, just read a magazine instead.

My week in pictures #3

Hi guys, I'm back with another instalment of 'my week in pictures'! As I said in my previous post, I really enjoy creating these posts so please let me know if you guys are liking them too, it would mean a lot! Also, is there anything I could do to improve on them? One more quick thing to add, I've just gave my blog design a well needed face lift, any thoughts on this too? I've tried to make it more personal to me so I hope that reflects. So, enough rambling, on with the pictures.. Enjoy!

1. Starting of this weeks post is my pictures from Ed Sheeran!! I kept my makeup fairly basic because I was standing and it can become a bit of a sweat fest at these concerts. I also wore a really loose and airy top (ya know, for the same reason as stated) 2. My ticket! Was also really exciting as it was my first time in the SSE Hydro, which is Glasgow's new concert arena (basically our answer to London's O2 aha) 3. Wish my pictures had came out clearer because we were fairly close to the front barrier, however this is the best I got. I think he was singing 'Thinking Out Loud' at this point! The concert was actually on Halloween night and Ed dressed up as Austin Powers at the beginning, but its so hard to make out in the pictures I took. 4. Can't take credit for this picture as it was taken by Ed himself, but I loved it so much I wanted to share it on here.

5. Another picture from the concert, this was when he sang 'A Team' and the whole crowd lit up their phones. I have a video on my Instagram if you want to check that out! 6. Back out walking the dog in the forest and stopped in a nice little area to have an Instagram mission with her. 7. Aftermath of our walk, she never stays white for long so she had a bath as soon as we got home! 8. Bonfire night! We were lucky this year that a neighbour was hosting a display as we usually drive somewhere to see them. Didn't have to though this year, the picture was taken from my bedroom window.

9. I had for a little shopping spree with my friend and found these in Superdug! I absolutely love Ruth Crilly, she's such a gorgeous model so I picked up two of her dry shampoo's and they work so well (plus they honestly smell amazing) 10. I was just out walking when I took these next two pictures, it was on a Sunday morning I believe and the sun had just fully risen! These tree's showed Autumn's true beauty. 11. Back to uni, and decided to sport my tartan (not plaid) scarf! Adds colour to any outfit, love it.

So there we go, another snap shot of my week. How was your past week?

My week in pictures #2

Hello guys! I'm back with another 'week in pictures' post, as quite a few of you commented and said you liked my last one. So this past week I've been armed with my camera taking little snaps here and there, enjoy!

1. So to start of my week again I hopped into the costa near my uni and had a caffĂ© caramella. Oh my goodness gracious, this is the best thing to grace the earth! Haha, I cant even explain, just tastes so darn good!! 2. Was sitting at the train station waiting to go home and there was so many pigeons roaming about. If you've seen some of my past tweets you'll know I have a bit of a pigeon phobia, and this little guy got a wee bit too close for my liking. (note; as soon as I took this picture I had to stand up and move away haha #pigeonphobia) 3.It wouldn't be a 'week in pictures' without a cheeky selfie would it? And in this one, I'm sporting my new jumper from H&M!

5. Was feeling very sassy that day in my coat (topshop!!) and was doing the high fashion thing.. You know putting it over my shoulders like they do in the glossy mags?.. Trying to be cool, aha. 6. This picture was on my day off and you know any good student would study, however I decided to make a cake in a mug! Turned out all right actually, I mean it was edible although I thought I wouldn't spare you the end result, didn't look that appetising. 7. Took the dog for her walk aswell that day, I have a river quite close by to my house and in the right light it always looks so pretty.

8. Was a really beautiful sunset one of the nights, these pictures don't really to it justice but I had to take a few pictures. Perfect autumn evening! 9. Gave the little girly a bath, she was looking extra fluffy haha. 10. Starting to drink a lot more lemon water recently. I used to drink it all the time in summer, forgot how good it was.

Well guys, there's another little round up of my past week. As I said, I really do hope some of you enjoy these types of posts because I am really enjoying putting them together!
Let me know what your favourite part of the past week was! Do anything special?

Sincerely, nicole x
